Femke Raijmakers

Femke is a PhD candidate whose research lies at the intersection of artificial intelligence and electrophysiology. Her work aims to advance clinical care for patients with an implantable cardioverter defibrillator (ICD) through the development of data-driven and clinically applicable methodologies.

She obtained her Master’s degree in Technical Medicine from the University of Twente, where she specialized in signal processing and focused on remote monitoring in cardiology. Her current PhD research centers on two main themes: improving risk stratification for patients at risk of ventricular arrhythmias and optimizing remote monitoring strategies for ICD patients.
